A discussion on the American Jewish Conference is expected to take place here tonight at the 17th triennial convention of the National Council of Jewish Women meeting at the Drake Hotel.
Addressing the delegates from more than 200 sections throughout the country, Mrs. Maurice Goldman, president of the organization, said that “Jews of today must recapture the values for which Jews of old so firmly stood.” Various aspects of the organization’s participation in the war effort are being discussed by the convention, including rehabilitation of disabled soldiers, organization of war bond drives, blood donors and nursery schools.
The members of the Council purchased $15,000,000 of war bonds in the second and third war loan campaigns, it was reported at the convention. At today’s session Mrs. Albert J. May of New York reported on contemporary Jewish affairs. Mrs. Arthur Brin reported on international relations and peace.
