The critics of leading American newspapers have selected John Kersey’s “The wall,” a novel of the uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto in 1943, as most deserving of the Pulitzer Prize in fiction this year. The poll was conducted by the Saturday Review of Literature. The Pulitzer awards will be announced next week.
