The statesmen meeting at the Moscow Conference should take immediate steps to allow 100,000 homeless European Jews to enter Palestine as a concrete measure toward the realization of world peace, Bartley C. Crum, former member of the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry on Palestine, urged today at the New York State Conference of the United Jewish Appeal for $170,000,000 attended by more than 350 Jewish leaders from all parts of the state.
Mr. Crum, who has seen conditions in Europe and Palestine at first-hand, declared that “the Jewish community of Palestine is economically capable of absorbing 1,000,000 of Europe’s surviving Jews within the next five years.”
