The Canadian Jewish Congress said today it had received confirmation from Havana of the receipt by the Cuban Jewish community of Passover shipments including 6,000 pounds of matzos and 3,000 pounds of matzoh meal. The Passover supplies, the Congress said, were received in Havana in good time for distribution to Cuban Jewish families. The Congress has been sending Passover supplies to Cuba since 1961. The community sells the holiday fare to those families which can afford to buy it and distributes it free to the needy.
