Sender M. Kaplan, noted Cuban Zionist leader and editor of the Yiddish newspaper “Havaner Leben,” was appointed Israel Consul here. The Government of Cuba today granted him permission to accept this post. Mr. Kaplan is a citizen of Cuba, where he has resided since 1929.
