A number of Jewish swimmers are preparing to participate in the 1936 Berlin Olympics despite the decision of the parent Jewish sports body to boycott the games, Professor Ernst Vogel of Bruenn, Czechoslovakia, charges in the newspaper Die Neue Welt.
Prof. Vogel gives Czechoslovakian newspapers as authority for the statement that eight men and one woman, members of the Bar Kochba and Hagibor Jewish sports clubs, are training for the games.
He points out that under the resolution adopted by the Bruenn world congress of the Maccabi Jewish sports association, Olympic committees are called upon not to send Jews to the games, but Jewish athletes are not specifically forbidden to participate.
