Ernst Frischer, president of the Czechoslovakian Jewish Party, demanded before the closing session of the party’s annual conference today that the Czech Jews be given protection against an anti-Semitic boycott, being waged especially in those districts “where now autonomy is vigorously demanded” (the Sudeten German area).
Parliament Deputy Angelo Goldstein denied that the American Jewish Congress had proclaimed a boycott against goods from Sudetenland. He asserted that the Americans and American Jews had helped to create the Czechoslovakian State and regarded it as the focus of humanity and democracy in Europe.
Mr. Frischer was re-elected president. Other officers are 0. Zucker, E. Schwarzbarth and M. Goldstein, vice-presidents, and Dr. Zelmanovitz, general secretary.
