Immediate realization of autonomy for the province of Carpathorussia was announced last night by Foreign Minister Eduard Benes, in the course of a reception at Uzhorod at which many Jewish leaders were present.
“Jewish elements in Carpathorussia will receive the guarantee of full minority rights and cultural autonomy, as in the entire republic of Czechoslovakia,” M. Benes declared.
