The Danzig government is ready to repeal its anti-Jewish legislation if a committee of jurists appointed by the League of Nations establishes that they are in violation of the Danzig constitution.
This declaration was made here by Dr. Greiser, president of the Danzig Senate, before the Council of the League of Nations, at its afternoon session yesterday, when the petition of the Danzig Jewish Community against the Senate came up for discussion.
EDEN SATISFIED
“This declaration is satisfactory,” Capt. Anthony Eden, the British diplomat who is the rapporteur on the Danzig question, commented today. The committee of jurists must report its findings to Capt. Eden before the next session of the Council of the League in September.
Losing no time, the Council appointed yesterday the proposed committee of jurists to whom the Jewish petition will be handed over for investigation. The committee will also examine petitions against the Danzig administration submitted by Catholic and other organizations.

Capt. Eden, reporting to the Council on the complaints against the Danzig administration, emphasized that the anti-Jewish discrimination in Danzig, and the laws against non-Aryqans issued by the authorities there, constitute a direct violation of {SPAN}###ragraph{/SPAN} 73 of the Danzig {SPAN}con###n{/SPAN}.
