David Gross, a former writer for JTA and former editor of the New York Jewish Week, died Saturday at age 82. Gross began his journalism career at age 16 with an article for JTA, and soon began writing a column for JTA. After a career in the organized Jewish world, he became editor of the Jewish Week from 1982 to 1985.
