David Neumark, Yiddish Write, Dies in New York; Came to U.S. in 1945

Funeral services were held here today for David Neumark, noted Yiddish writer, who died here Friday at the age of 69. Prominent writers and Journalists eulogized Mr. Neumark, who was on the staff of the Jewish Daily Forward for the past 15 years.

Born in Poland, Mr. Neumark began his literary career in Warsaw where the worked on a number of Yiddish newspapers. He emigrated to Canada in 1940. In 1945, Mr. Neumark came to the United States and took up the post as editor of the Detroit edition of the Daily Forward.
