The Federation of Italian Jewish Youth Organizations joined today in a mounting demand for the expulsion from Parliament of a neo-Fascist deputy with a wartime record of collaboration with the Nazis. The expulsion of Giorgia Almirante, secretary general of the “Movimiento Soziale Italiano” (Italian Socialist Movement), has also been demanded by various leftist, democratic and centrist organizations. Almirante was actively involved in the persecution and deportation of Jews during the war years. He has since become one of the prime movers of the neo-Fascist movement.
