Democratic vice presidential candidate Joseph Lieberman is raising eyebrows for telling a radio talk show host that intermarriage is permissible for Jews. “The senator’s statements misrepresent basic foundations of our faith,” the fervently Orthodox Agudath Israel of America said in a statement after Lieberman told Don Imus that there is “no ban whatsoever” on Jews intermarrying.
