Denmark Grants Israel De Facto Recognition; Becomes First Scandinavian Country to Act

The Government of Denmark has extended de facto recognition to Israel, a Foreign Ministry spokesman announced late today. Denmark, the 35th nation to accord either do facto or de jure recognition to the Jewish state, is the first Scandinavian country to officially recognize Israel.
