The Rumanian Bar Council issued a statement today flatly contradicting an announcement by the president-of the Union of Rumanian Lawyers that members of minorities who were born in the Old Kingdom did not have to take examinations on their knowledge of the Rumanian language. The Council declared that all lawyers who are members of minorities must submit to the examinations, and will be removed from the bar if they fail.
