Hope that the American Nazi Party will be branded by the United States Department of Justice as a subversive organization was expressed today in a communication addressed to the Department by Adolph Held, national chairman of the Jewish Labor Committee.

Mr. Held pointed out that evidence that the American Nazi Party, led by George L. Rockwell, is “foreign dominated” is easily available and in fact openly avowed by the organization.

“The American Nazi party does not deny its affinities to German nazism. It wears the uniform designed by the Nazis. It condemns American democratic ideologies in the same tone and with the same alphabet employed by the Nazis. It uses the same salute as the Nazis, and its official insignia is the one designed by the Nazis. We do not know what other evidence is necessary,”the JLC leader stressed in his letter to the Department of Justice.
