Deputy Isaac Gruenbaum, president of the Polish Zionist Federation, today telephoned Dr. Chaim Weizmann to convene the Zionist Actions Committee before the opening of the British parliament in view of the critical condition created by the Simpson report and its corollary, the government statement.
Dr. Weizmann, however, has declared that such a step is impossible in view of the meeting of the political commission of the Zionist Organization on November 3. He assured Deputy Gruenbaum, however, that under no circumstances would the Jews accept the policy of capitulation “which the British government has declared.”
