Diaspora Jews have proved their solidarity with Israel during the present crisis, the chairman of the Jewish Agency for Israel said. Speaking Thursday before the leadership of the World Jewish Congress, Sallai Meridor said the 20th century was characterized by Diaspora Jewry’s efforts for the establishment and building of the State of Israel. The 21st century, he added, “will be characterized by the interdependence of Diaspora Jewry and Israel.”
