Dispute Height of Hotel Planned for Mt. Scopus

The Jerusalem District Planning Commission has approved the building of the Hyatt House Hotel on the slopes of Mount Scopus overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem. The height of the hotel, which has been in dispute, awaits a final decision which is expected in several weeks. The original plan for a 200-foot building was flatly rejected by the planning commission as too high.
