District One, B’nai B’rith, comprising New York State and the six New England States, announced a petition campaign on behalf of the Israeli POWs held in Syria. It has launched a vigorous drive to obtain a quarter of a million signatures addressed to Kurt Waldheim, Secretary General of the United Nations. The District is canvassing with the aid of its B’nai B’rith Youth units and its men’s lodges and women’s chapters.
