Meier Dizengoff, Mayor of this all-Jewish city since its founding in 1909, declared in a statement to the press today that he has decided not to seek reelection because of “the negative treatment of Tel Aviv’s needs by the Government, especially in connection with the budget and the recent municipal loan.”
