Word was received here today of the death in Honolulu last Saturday of Dr. Francis Hevesi, former chief rabbi of Budapest. He was 53 years old. Dr. Hevesi, who succeeded his father, the late Dr. Simon Hevesi, in the Budapest chief rabbinate, fled from the Communist regime in 1947 and came to this country. His body will be flown to Washington for interment.
