Dr. George Wise Contributes $24,000 for Building of School in Mexico

Dr. George S. Wise, a prominent New York paper manufacturer who operates several paper mills in southern Mexico, has contributed 300,000 pesos ($24,000) to the Ministry of Education for the construction of a school to serve the children of employees of the mills, it was reported here today.

Education Minister Jaime Torres Bodet expressed the appreciation of the government for the gift. Dr. Wise, who is active in Mexican Jewish affairs, is honorary president of the Mexican Committee of the Friends of the Hebrew University.
