Dr. Haber Declines Michigan Governor’s Bid to Serve As Labor Department Director

A University of Michigan professor who heads the ORT, Organization for Rehabilitation Through Training, has declined an invitation by Gov. William G. Milliken of Michigan to serve as director of the State Labor Department. Dr. William Haber expressed regrets to the Governor that he could not accept the appointment because of other commitments. He offered to make himself available in a consultative or advisory capacity to whomever the Governor may name to the post. Dr. Haber is chairman of the central board of the World ORT Union and president of the American ORT Federation.
