Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion today conferred with De. Theodor Heuss, former President of the Federal Republic of Germany, who is visiting Israel. Tonight, a dinner in honor of Dr. Heuss was given by Mrs. Golda Meir, the Foreign Minister. All members of the Cabinet and other prominent Israelis were guests at the affair.
Dr. Heuss yesterday toured the premises of the Yad Vashem, the Memorial Authority for the Victims of Nazism, where documents are preserved on the holocaust in which 6,000,000 Jews were murdered, A large audience at Hebrew University heard an address by Dr. Heuss in German on “Self-Formation of Democracy in Germany.”
