Funeral services will be held here tomorrow at the Temple Israel for Dr. Kurt Lewin, noted social paychologist prominently associated with Jewish activities, who died yesterday of a heart attack at the age of 57.
Dr. Lewin was director of the Research Center for Group Dynamics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and chief consultant to the Commission on Community Interrelations of the American Jewish Congress in New York City. He helped to establish the Commission on Community Interrelations as an agency to carry out a new social science attack on minority group problems in the United States.
Throughout his life, Dr. Lewin was active in the field of Jewish education. An ardent and lifelong Zionist, he visited Palestine on several occasions. He was born in Mogilno, Germany, in 1890 and came to the United States in 1932.
