Dr. Julian Morgenstern, former president of the Hebrew Union College, and Dr. A.L. Sachar, former national director of the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations, were jointly awarded the 1947 National Service Award of Phi Epsilon Pi Fraternity, at the 43rd annual convention of the fraternity here. The award is made annually for “the finest contribution to the essential Jewish life of America.”
