Dr. Nathan Redcliffe Salaman, renowned nutrition expert and Jewish communal leader, died here at the age of 80. Dr. Salaman came from a family long established in this country. He was at one time director of the Potato Virus Research Center at Cambridge, and was a vice-president of the National Institute of Agricultural Botany. He was also a Fellow of the Royal Horticultural Society. Dr. Salaman was active in the Zionist movement in England during its formative years, serving as president of the Zionist federation in 1907.
