A charge that he had ordered the shooting of twenty-one Rumanian peasants toward the end of the World War resulted today in the arrest of Dr. Adolf Ongar, dean of the Bar Association at Tamisoara.

The Jewish lawyer was seized after the anti-Semitic Lasyers’ Union had denounced him to the police, asserting that he had ordered the shooting of the peasants in 1918.
