The Rev. Dr. J. E. Schvanenfeld, rabbi of the Hebrew Friendship Congregation at Harrisonburg, Va., for twenty-five years, who previously served six years at the Madison Avenue Temple in this city, is dead, according to word received here. He was fifty-six years old. Heart disease was the cause of death.
