Dr. Schwartz, Chagall Receive Honorary Degrees from Brandeis U.

Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, vice president of the Israel Bond Organization and Mare Chagall, prominent French-Jewish artist, were among the recipients of honorary degrees yesterday from Brandeis University.

The university also conferred honorary degrees on Dr. Ralph Bunche, United Nations Undersecretary for Special Political Affairs and Philip J. Noel-Baker of Britain, both Nobel peace prize winners, Marian Anderson, the singer; Frank F. Graham, UN Representative for India and Pakistan; Dr. Brock Chisholm, former director general of the World Health concentration and Dr. Eugene Rabinowich, atomic scientist at the University of Illinois.
