Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver left Mexico today following a banquet given in his honor by the General Zionist Organization of Mexico. The affair was arranged in connection with the celebration of Dr. Silver’s 60th birthday, and was held at Hotel Del Prado.
During his stay here, the American Zionist leader paid a visit to the Foreign Minister of Mexico and also visited a number of Jewish institution. He was the principal speaker last night at a huge meeting in the Mexico City Sport Center arranged by the General Zionist Council.
