Dr. Raanan Weitz, key figure of Israel’s agricultural and immigration settlement programs, arrived in New York yesterday on a technical survey mission and to tour communities throughout the United States on behalf of the 1955 campaign of the United Jewish Appeal. He will make a study of newest American methods of land reclamation and technical crop production during his six-week stay in the United States. Dr. Weitz holds the post of director of the Jewish Agency’s Department of Agricultural Settlement.
