Druse leaders in Israel are asking their Lebanese counterparts to “refrain from interfering in internal community affairs” after a Lebanese leader called on Israeli Druse to stop serving in “the Israeli army of occupation,” according to Ha’aretz. In a first-of-its-kind gathering, Druse leaders from Lebanon, Syria and Israel are planning to meet in Jordan to discuss Druse service in the Israel Defense Force.
