Dutch Queen Beatrix visited a historic synagogue in Recife, Brazil. Last Friday’s visit was part of the queen’s five-day visit to Brazil. Jack Terpins, who is the president of the Jewish umbrella organization Brazilian Israelite Confederation, met the queen at Kahal Zur Israel, which was built in the 1600s.
