Israel Ambassador Abba Eban met with Geoffrey Lewis, State Department Deputy Director of German Affairs, this week-end to convey information to the American Government on current negotiations at The Hague relative to German restitution to Israel for anti-Jewish acts of the Nazis. After the talk, Ambassador Eban said that he believes “the decisive stage is approaching” in Israel’s negotiations with Germany at The Hague.
