The Educational Alliance, a settlement house founded in 1891 to serve the needs of the hundreds of thousands of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe who settled on New York’s Lower East Side, inaugurated the celebration of its 75th anniversary tonight. The celebration will continue tomorrow, when Gov. Ilelson A. Rockefeller will unveil in the Alliance lobby a plaque on which are inscribed the names of the founders of the institution.
