The selection of teachers for American public schools should not be restricted to any particular religious group, declared the Rev. J. Elliot Ross, Catholic professor at Iowa State University, in an address before the department of superintendence of the National Education Association. He also urged that leaders of both public and parochial schools should get better acquainted, in order to avoid possible friction and promote good feeling between Protestant, Catholic and Jew.
