The Egyptian Embassy today began to distribute a publication which is considered the most extensive compilation of anti-Jewish propaganda disseminated by any foreign diplomatic office since the closing of the Nazi German Embassy here in 1941.
The publication, entitled “The Story of Zionist Espionage in Egypt,” is an obvious attempt to justify the recent hanging of the two Jews in Cairo despite please by the United States Government and by the Governments of Britain and France. It tries to create the impression that Zionism is eager to promote Communism in Egypt.
“Zionism and Communism are two distinctive forces with one political objective–world domination,” the pamphlet asserts. “Both powers cooperate secretly and in public without friction since the power in the end will eventually go to Zionism.” It alleged that “Zionists always infuse colonized countries with the ideology of Communism.”
The pamphlet carries photographs of the Jews recently tried in Egypt, including those executed, as well as copies of their “confessions.” It charges Jews not only with promoting Communism in Egypt, but also revives the allegations pertaining to the Count Bernadotte and Lord Moyne assassinations. Zionist “atrocities” against British troops and alleged acts against various Christian churches and shrines are also charged in the publication.
