Egypt said it would return its ambassador to Tel Aviv within 10 days. Egyptian government spokesman Magdi Radi made the announcement Wednesday, but declined to say who would replace Mohammed Bassiouny, who was recalled soon after the Palestinian intifada began in 2000.
