Six officers of the Egyptian Army have arrived in the United States for six weeks of intensive study of U.S. Army quartermaster and ordinance activities, it was announced today by the Department of Defense.
The arrival of the officers marks the beginning of the program by which the United States will grant heavy munitions aid to Egypt, as a result of the British withdrawal from the Suez Canal area.
