Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is scheduled to meet with President Clinton at the White House to discuss Middle East peacemaking. The meeting follows Clinton’s failed attempt in Geneva to revive Israeli-Syrian talks and comes as a weeklong round of Israeli-Palestinian negotiations in Washington were expected to end without any breakthroughs.
