Egyptians at Suez Seize 100 Tons of Meat Shipped to Israel

Egyptian authorities at the Port Said end of the Suez Canal confiscated a shipment of 100 tons of frozen meat shipped to Israel from Ethiopia aboard a Norwegian vessel, it was announced here today.

The Egyptian action came after some 10 months of an unofficial truce in the halting and seizing of Israel-bound vessels and cargoes. The incident occurred on Oct. 31. It is understood that Norway intends to lodge a protest with the Egyptian Government.
