Eight Israeli reservists who were jailed for refusing to serve in Palestinian areas appeared before Israel’s Supreme Court. The eight argued Wednesday that the Israeli presence in the West Bank and Gaza Strip is illegal and that therefore they were within their rights to refuse to serve there.
