President Eisenhower was urged to have the United States, through the United Nations, protest the Soviet Union’s anti-Jewish drive and to prevent a “holocaust” for Jews behind the Iron Curtain, in a resolution adopted today by the executive of Brith Abraham, one of the oldest fraternal Jewish organizations in the U.S.
Announcing the plea to the President, George O. Arkin, grand master of the organization, revealed that the executive had also issued a directive to its 310 lodges in this country to hold protest meetings during March “to enlist the aid of all faiths in effecting measures to combat the Soviet policy of defamation of the Jewish people.”
