Soviet authorities arrested 11 Jews Sunday in Moscow but released them after a day-long detention, Jewish reports from Moscow said today.

The reports said the Jews, all activists who have applied for emigration visas, were detained early Sunday, held at police stations and released Sunday night without being charged.

It was thought the Jews were detained to prevent them from demonstrating during the Communist Party Leader Leonid I. Brezhnev visit to the U.S.
