Erasure of reference to religion in an official inquiry sent out by the Roumanian Ministry of Commerce to the industrialists of the country was ordered by Virgil Madgearu, Commerce Minister.
In the original inquiry sent to the industrialists, a question concerning their religion was asked. Upon learning of this the Commerce Minister telegraphed inspectors throughout the country to inform the industrialists to ignore this question.
