Scattered throughout the British Commonwealth of Nations, Jews took part today in the rejoicing over the Coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth.

In Palestine, special festivities were held. Sir Harold Sargent, the noted British conductor, led the Palestine Symphony Orchestra in a Coronation concert.

Special prayers for the occasion were drawn up by Chief Rabbi Joseph H. Hertz and were said at services in synagogues throughout the Empire.
