The estate of Mrs. Esther Wallach Dryfoos, wife of Newton M. Dryfoos, 38 East Seventy-third street, New York City, was appraised yesterday in the office of the Transfer Tax Department at $77,785 gross and $676,083 net, Mrs. Dryfoos, who died July 21, 1932, left $616,028 in mortgage notes, cash and securities.
Mrs. Dryfoos bequeathed $20,000 in a trust fund to her “faithful employee,” Mathilda Kroner. On her death the principal of the trust fund is to go to the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies to maintain a bed at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Other bequests were made to her husband and her two children.
