At least two known anti-Semites are included in the in Austrian Cabinet which Leopeld Figl, Volks Partei leader and new chancellor, yesterday submitted to the Allied Control Council for approval. They are Leopold Kunschak, when he has appointed president of the National Assembly, and Julius Raab, named as the new Minister of Commerce.

(The Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported last week that there was growing apprehension among the Jewish leader in Vienna over the election of these men and other anti-Semites to the National Council.)

In an attempt to explain his appointment of Kunschak to such an important pest, Figl said that Kunschak” is not anti-Semitic on racial grounds, but on economic prounds,” adding that Kunschak is ” an old man and has some fixed ideas.”

Meanwhile, the Linz radio announced that of the 30,000 Jewish children in Austria before the war, only 300 have survived. It said 73 of them have returned from concentration camps.
